One of my favorite stories of support came from one of my best friends, Lori. When we moved into the house across the street from her, never did I imagine just how close our families would become. Her son, Blair, and our daughter, Sydney, were just 9 years old then with little in common. When they were seniors in high school, they went to the prom together- I couldn't have written that story any better. They were still dating at the time she lost her Dad. They were 21 years old. Reid's last day was a flurry of texts and calls as Blair wanted to do whatever he could to support our sweet Syd on this, her worst day. When he got the news that Reid was gone, he turned to his Mom and asked "What do we do now?". The sincerity in his question warms my heart still. She responded-
"Now? Now we cook"
